Slow Living Moments: Bain du Lait

Cleopatra used to bathe in sour milk to keep her skin smooth. We love this recipe as part of your evening wellness routine to replenish dry skin.

Recipe:

  • 1/4 cup whole milk

  • 1/2 cup plain yogurt

  • 1 tablespoon carrier oil

  • 1 egg white

  • 1 tablespoon honey

  • 1 tablespoon baking soda

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1 teaspoon almond extract

  • 10 drops bergamot essential oil

  • 5 drops ylang ylang essential oil

Directions:

Combine all the ingredients in a blender and blend on medium speed for 30 seconds. Fill the bath with warm water and add the bain du lait (milk bath). Soak for 20 minutes and enjoy.
