Slow Living Moments: DIY Bath Oil

Citrus Grove Bath Oil

There’s no better way to end your day than with a relaxing aromatherapy bath.  We’re thankful for this simple bath oil recipe that’s easy to replicate at home.

Benefits Of Bath Oil

Bath oil is a powerful addition to self-care rituals due to its ability to penetrate the skin tissue and deeply moisturize the body.

Bath oil also gives us a way to safely add essential oils to the bath, as you should avoid adding essential oil directly without first mixing it into a carrier oil.  Essential oils need carrier oils to enable them to blend with the water and not stay on the surface where they can burn or irritate the skin.

By including Citrus Grove Bath Oil in your bath, you can experience the aromatherapy benefits of essential oils along with the moisturizing benefits of the carrier oil.

Ingredients:

  • 4 ounce glass bottle

  • 4 ounce carrier oil

  • 15 drops lime essential oil

  • 7 drops bergamot essential oil

  • 10 drops tangerine essential oil

  • 6 drops lavender essential oil

  • 14 drops lemon essential oil

Mixing Instructions:

  • Fill the bottle halfway with your preferred carrier oil.

  • Add essential oils and shake well.

  • Top off with remaining carrier oil, cover, and shake a second time.

How To Use:

  • Add 2 or 3 capfuls to warm bath water and soak in the tub for 20-30 minutes and relax the body.

  • Grab a book, a glass of wine, and light your fave lumulen candle et voilà! A bath experience made in the heavens.
